Our Story

Barton Park is a broad acre crop and livestock farm located in Quellington, which is 20 km North East of the historical town of York. Owned by the Gentle family since 1864, who love living on the land and want to share its beauty with others.

After having fun and achieving success in diversifying with the Quellington School Farmstay and Alfie the Farm Baa (a mobile vintage caravan bar which provides a BYO bar service at events) we decided to create Barton Park Events.

Together we have designed and built a place where we hope to make many dreams come true. We have created a romantic bush-land ceremony area, surrounded by tall salmon gums and have the quaint stone Quellington Hall bordering the property for wet weather options. The natural landscape and absence of any man made structures make the bush-land venue a unique and private setting.

Barton Park is a blank canvas event space for clients to host their function. There is a landscaped lawn area suitable for an open air event or marquee wedding as well as a rustic Wed Shed. The old School House is visible from both sites and provides the perfect back drop for any event. Opening with our first weddings in 2020, we aim to establish ourselves as an alternative to the more formal wedding options, with a relaxed and social vibe.

We would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands on which we meet today, the Ballardong people of the Noongar Nation and pay our respect to Elders, past, present and emerging. We acknowledge the ongoing connection that First Nations people have to the land and recognise First Nations people as the original custodians of this land.
