Our Story

Barton Park is a broadacre crop and livestock farm nestled in Quellington, just 20 km north-east of the historic town of York. Owned by the Gentle family since 1864, the farm has been a cherished part of our families story for generations. Inspired by our love for the land and the joy it brings, we decided to open our gates to share Barton Park’s beauty with others.

After the success of previous ventures such as Quellington School Farmstay and Alfie the Farm Baa, a vintage mobile caravan bar offering BYO service, the idea for Barton Park Events was born.

Together, we have designed and built a space where unforgettable moments come to life. Our romantic bushland ceremony area, surrounded by towering salmon gums, offers a naturally stunning backdrop for saying “I do.” For peace of mind in case of rain, the charming stone Quellington Hall sits nearby, ready to host your special moment.

Barton Park is a true blank canvas for your event. Whether it's an open-air celebration on the landscaped lawn, a marquee wedding under the stars, or a rustic gathering in the Wed Shed, the farm provides endless possibilities. Overlooking both sites is the historic Old School House, adding character and charm to any occasion. Since hosting our first weddings in 2020, we have become a go-to for couples seeking a relaxed, social vibe and an alternative to more formal venues.

We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we meet today, the Ballardong people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging and recognise the ongoing connection First Nations people have to the land.
